FEW SUCCESS STORY
While studying MD, my dissertation was on hypertension and its homoeopathic management. While working on hypertensive patients with a rarely used homoeopathic medicine named VISCUM ALBUM, i got a very good result. I found more than 60% patients are doing good with homoeopathic medication only. That was quite inspiring, as we know, modern system of treatment has no permanent solution of this health issue which is so much prevalent in modern day life style.
A recent case of auto-immune arthritis. Patient was suffering from tremendous pain in multiple joints for last 3-4 years. She has tried all the medications as far as possible, lastly METHOTRAXATE( the ultimate drug that can be given for such cases in modern system of medicine) was given, which also gave temporary relief for 3- 4 months only. She had recurrent diarrhoea with tremendous joint pain for last one year almost, hospitalised several times for diarrhoea, and lastly her creatinine level was also increasing. After studying her case, i came to know that she suffered from severe diarrhoea many years back before developing the joint pains, which was treated with conventional medicines and diarrhoea was stopped, rather checked. Now the pain is so severe that she cannot move even, with recurrent diarrhoea which was every time checked with allopathic drugs. On that ground, i prescribed ABROTANUM. She felt an initial aggravation of pains upto 15 days followed by gradual and slow improvement. Now almost one and half months passed, she is very much improved, no pain, no diarrhoea for last one month. No need of any pain killers. She is able to do her household works.
A case of gall stone:- During my internship period in NIH, i still clearly remember the case. It was Saturday, almost 1.30 pm, no senior doctors were there in OPD. The patient’s son came with an OPD card to me. He told me that his mother was almost bed ridden for last one and half months with severe pain in abdomen and indigestion, not able to eat, gradually becoming weak. Then he showed me an USG report, calculus cholecystitis ( 9mm single stone). He was unable to tell any other symptoms. On that basis i prescribed initially CHOLESTERINUM in LM potency for 15 days, asked the person to come with the patient. After almost 3 weeks, again the patient’s son came. He reported that, his mother was improving with the medicine, but now in a stand still condition, and she doesn’t want to opt for surgery. I repeated CHOLESTERINUM next potency again and told him strictly to bring his mother in next visit. The patient came after one month with her son. She was now able to eat with occasional pain. So i started taking her case, but during the whole span of case taking she was only concerned about her son’s suffering, requesting me to give her son a good medicine for lumbar pain. She was very much reluctant to her own sufferings. I prescribed her COCCULUS 200, 1M, 10M ( SUBSEQUENT HIGHER POTENCIES FOR CONSECUTIVE THREE DAYS) and SAC LAC for 2 months. Again COCCULUS 10M was repeated. After almost 6 months of treatment, patient was now asymptomatic. Her son, requested me to write/advice another USG. I was very much sure that no change is expected in such short span of time. Whatsoever, i advised her an USG to be done. After one and half month, the patient’s son came to our OPD searching for me (as duty changes every month). He showed me the report. It showed, normal study, with no evidence of any calculus or inflammation of gallbladder. I was so surprised and happy. The patient party was also so much happy that his mother didn’t have to undergo surgical procedure.it was a pleasant surprise for me just before puja vacation. That was the best durga pujo gift for me that year, a really memorable one.
Got beautiful results in several cases of urinary tract infection, where no peculiar symptoms as such were traceable except the common symptoms of typical UTI with high rise of temperature with shivering and burning in urethra, with use of ECHINACEA ANGUSTIFOLIA in potency.
A case of post-operative Adenocarcinoma Prostate. Patient developed oedema of both legs 6 months after operation with little bit difficulty in passing urine, and PSA level gradually increasing. With multiple doses of FERRUM PICRATA patient improved a lot. Gradually both leg oedema subsided with PSA level within normal limit.
A case of secondary infertility, female, aged approx. 37 years came for treatment. She had one daughter, 8 years old. Patient was on eltroxin for hypothyroid problems. She tried lots of horomonal treatments without any result. With prescription of ARISTOLOCHIA CLEMATITIS 200, after 2 months patient conceived.
In most of the cases of RING-WORM infections or eruptions like ring-worm especially in groin area, AEGLE FOLIA in potency gave very good results.
In a case of muscle sprain in back (dorsal area) with swelling also. Pt was unable to lie down, due to severe pain, for 2 days. Slightest change of posture causing severe spasmodic pains. No results with application of rhustox. Only peculiar symptom is , pain > by holding breath. BELLADONNA 30, few doses gave prompt relief with rapid improvement. Swelling gradually subsided.
In cases of coryza ,with sneezing and profuse expectoration specially in rainy weather and also in foggy winter DULCAMARA always gives special relief.
